The research program "MaxSynBio" on synthetic biology was officially launched on April 16, 2015. On this occasion, the director of Max Planck, Martin Stratmann, a representative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF ), Barbel Brumme-Bothe, and the scientists involved in the project met in Berlin to present the research program.
