The Max Planck Research Network for Synthetic Biology consists in total out of 22 research groups - 16 groups for the three research clusters, 4 independent research groups and 2 research groups of MaxSynBio Fellows

The MaxSynBio Network is mainly constituted by Max Planck Institutes from the Chemical-Physical-Technical Section (red) and Max Planck Institutes from the Bio-Medical Section (green) of the Max Planck Society, as well as the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen-Nürnberg (blue). This network is further supported by external partners in Bordeaux.
